Case Two: Frail Newborn

I was contacted by a very anxious mother. Her son was conceived by IVF and seemed to have had a very frail grip on life ever since he was born.

He had been a poor feeder and vomited a great deal. Mum knew something was wrong, but kept being told by the health visitors and doctors that she was 'just over-anxious', which simply added to her concerns, because she no longer felt like the best judge of her own son's condition.

She was a therapist herself and believed in natural medicines, but was so confused and upset about her son that she didn't know where to turn or what to do.

He had constant colds and chest infections, and his early months were one long list of antibiotics.

One one memorable occasion, she managed to get her son admitted to hospital for assessment because his constant vomiting had led to dehydration. Just as a drip was being set up to replace his body fluids, the little chap's heartbeat stopped.

In his first year of life, he had three similar very serious episodes in hospital.

I met Mum once in person but after that all our consultations were carried out over the phone. I saw two photographs of C, her son - one before his homeopathic treatment and one after. He was a different child.

In the first picture, he was pale and listless with huge blue shadows under his eyes. In the second, just three months later, he was a normal toddler with a healthy complexion - the sparkle back in his eyes, full of life.

This was accomplished with nothing more than a course of vitamins, Echinacea to boost his immune system, and the correct homeopathic remedies (in his case, Tuberculinum and Calc-Carb). He also had certain gem essences because I felt that the way he was conceived had made him fearful of staying on planet Earth.

His Mum now has a Basic 18 Remedy Kit and has learned to use it herself to cope with the odd sore throat and tummy bug. She called me when C had chickenpox and again when he developed croup. I was able to advise her on which remedies to obtain from the homeopathic pharmacy, and she treats him successfully on her own with no need for antibiotics.

"I have only been to see Linda for a few months but she has really turned my life around. I suffer from MS and have done so since 1989. I suffer terribly from fatigue and had been really bad when a friend suggested I see Linda and I am now working full time and am improving all the time.

Since seeing Linda I have recommended my son and sister, who was very sceptical as she has also got MS and IBS and has improved so much since just going to see Linda once she is now a convert and when I called her recently with a bad cold she said "why don't you call Linda so she can sort it"!" - Anji, 53, Bucks, 2 children (grown up) 2 grandchildren
